This brick home was built in historic downtown Logan. The homeowner wanted to build a home that would be timeless and fit right in with the 100-year-old homes that surround it yet have those modern conveniences that you find in new homes.
The homeowner also wanted a beautiful wrap around porch with rounded columns and hand-crafted iron railing to bring a bit of southern living.
The kitchen features cherry red cabinets with a highly functional kitchen that was more common in vintage homes. The fireplace mantle was reclaimed from an older home and refinished for a bit of historic charm that is more unique to this community. The stairs and balcony railing were meticulously built by a talented carpenter to give that custom woodwork that we find in historic homes.
This home sits on top of a high-water table so extra care was taken to ensure that this home stays dry all year round. This home's basement was raised above the water table and the whole foundation sits on top of 18" of pit run and 8" of gravel to provide good drainage to a sump pump for added precaution.
